Roger Crawford, is an entrepreneur, an author, a consultant to Fortune 500 companies, a motivational speaker, and a professional tennis player. You might be thinking this man is incredible, and you would be right. However, what if I told you Roger was born with ectrodactylism. Roger was born with no hands and only one good foot. He had a thumb-like digit coming out of his right forearm, and a similar on his left forearm. The doctors told Roger’s parents that he would need to be able to walk and care for himself.
“Social media marketing campaigns are advertising initiatives that appear on social media networks and/or platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Twitter, blogs, or other media channels that exist in the digital space. Social media marketing campaign content can be: (1) owned media, (2) earned media, and (3) paid media.” (MediaKix, 2016)
While preparing for a class I came across a quote for the first time, but wished I could have learned its truth a lot earlier in my life. The quote was by Mother Teresa and says, “You can do what I cannot do. I can do what you cannot do. Together we can do great things.”
One of my students told me this quote, “If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything.” I concur with this statement. I always love how God aligns my classes for lessons I need to learn. I was teaching a class on Corporate Social Responsibility and learned that a corporation's social responsibility comes down to one thing, what are the values it stands for. Moreover, I believe this is true of every individual.
Are there toxic people in your workplace? You know the type – the ones who never has a good thing to say, who complain about anything and everything, who love to be miserable? I am sure you do, for it has been my experience that they are in every organization.
I have to say that I borrowed this title from a book I read. In it I read about how to juggle the many different roles and responsibilities in my life. The book began by saying “Life is like a three ring circus, and to try and do it all is like juggling elephants.” Never were truer words spoken. But it doesn’t keep me from trying. I do wish I could stop and learn to do more with less.
